Embracing Social Media

I ran into a re-post of an article I saw on Gigaom, written by Aliza Sherman of Webworkerdaily.com. She talks about how there are still companies out there that aren’t using Social Media as a way to market their company.

I agree with the article. I believe social media has grown to a level of popularity that is difficult to ignore. Being able to use social media will allow businesses to reach millions of potential customers without allocating millions of dollars. Combining both traditional marketing methods and social media allows a company to maximize their exposure. If there are any companies out there that haven’t used social media yet, I recommend they do. But that’s just my opinion, what do you guys think? Do you think that companies who haven’t used social media as a marketing tool, should begin using it? Or are there situations where social media marketing may not make much of an impact?
